The Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS), formerly The National Employment Bureau, is urgently seeking individuals for employment in Canadian hotels.

According to Judith Branch, Placement and Counselling Officer at the Bureau, the BECCS is seeking to create a shortlist of suitable persons, who must have at least one year’s previous experience working in the hotel industry in the following categories: room attendant, housekeeping, second and third cooks, steward, bell person and grounds keeping.

Anyone interested may register at the BECCS Office, First Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St Michael, from Monday, August 27, to Thursday, August 30, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To register, they should bring their national registration card (Barbados ID), four passport-sized photos, a résumé and two job references.

For further information, you may also call the PBX at 535-1535, or 535-1536/1537/1553 or 1554.

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed in September 2018 by employers from well-established hotels in Canada. (BGIS)
