What started as a typical day for Gregory Moore, owner of Moore’s Sports Bar, ended with his performing a heroic deed.

On Wednesday, he saved 91-year-old Zara Peters, the oldest member of his Buckingham Road, Bank Hall, St Michael community, from a fiery death.

Recounting how the event transpired, Moore said he arrived at the bar around 5:45 a.m. and to his surprise, there was thick, black smoke entering his business.

“You are not supposed to burn stuff out here because there is a school nearby, so when I was moving the tables I asked myself who could be burning stuff at this sort of time,” he told the DAILY NATION. (SB)
