The new Barbados Immigration Department is slowly but surely getting up to speed.

This morning, Minister of Home Affairs Edmund Hinkson toured the new facilities at the Barbados Tourism Investment Car Park complex on Princess Alice Highway.

And this point, approximately 50 per cent of the department has made the move from the former headquarters on Wharf Road.

The CARICOM, Special Entry Permits and Immigration Status/Permanent Residence sections of the Barbados recently made the move across The City.

And according to Chief Immigration Officer Wayne Marshall, the entire department is expected to make the transition by October. (AD)
