Government will be making a decision whether or not to issue a national shutdown at 11 p.m.
Acting Prime Minister Dale Marshall gave an update to the media just moments ago following a three-hour long emergency meeting at Government Headquarters.
Marshall said emergency personnel from both public and private sector had discussed protocols ahead of tomorrow’s class inclement weather.
As a result, all public schools, nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary would be closed.
The Ministry of Health will close all outpatient clinics at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Additionally, all beaches from the entrance of St Lawrence Gap to the entrance of the Richard Haynes Boardwalk at Accra Beach, Christ Church will be until midday on Saturday.
Despite a national shutdown not being issued, Marshall still urged Barbadians to take the necessary precautions as the storm was expected to bring heavy rains and wind. (AD)
