Prime Minister Mia Mottley has said a lot, but “little of substantive strategy” to take Barbados forward.

That was the reaction of Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherley on Monday to the Prime Minister’s Address To The Nation Sunday evening.

Mottley spoke of coming layoffs in the public sector, as well as a number of capital works projects in the pipeline, as part of Government’s Barbados Economic Recovery and Transformation (BERT) programme.

In a statement, Atherley said he wanted “clarity of numbers” with regard to the proposed layoffs. (GC)
