It’s time to go back to the drawing board. This is the view of president of the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) Sandra Osborne. In fact, she believes serious examination must take place in order to improve the performances of Barbadian athletes on the international stage.
“In the course of our recent planning at the BOA, we have come to the conclusion that we need to go back to the drawing board to analyse how we can improve our athletes’ performances, and how the BOA can play a more active and participatory role than just providing financial support,” she said.
Osborne was speaking to NATIONSPORT at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games which concluded Wednesday night.
“What has happened in the last number of years is that Barbados’ performance has actually dropped in terms of the medals and positions that we have been able to achieve,” she said. (AGB)
