Help me! That’s the desperate cry of a 57-year-old man who was abandoned at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) six months ago.

With tears streaming down his face, Don Collins, who had a stroke which has left him immobile, lamented his circumstances as he lay on a bed in a corner of the Accident & Emergency Department.

“My clothes want washing, nobody don’t wash them; I want snacks; I want shirts to sleep in and thing . . . ,” Collins pleaded.

Collins said his brother called an ambulance one day and told personnel that he was suffering with seizures. (MB)
