The fast-rising Josh Burke underlined his class with an impressive performance over the weekend at the 35th annual National Surf Competition in Bathsheba, St Joseph, on Saturday.

And as much as the intermittent rains threatened, the famous Soup Bowl steamed hot with action.

Still riding the wave of victory after his win in the Corona Cup in Puerto Rico last week, Burke upped the ante with a combination of speed, power and flow that had the judges in awe.

This seasoned competitor is ranked in the top 100 in the world, and it shows. (PR)
