Barbadian cricket fans have every right to be hurting after the team’s poor showing in the Regional Super50 Cup but coach Emmerson Trotman has promised that the team will bounce back.

Trotman told NATIONSPORT that brittle batting and poor catching were at the heart of the Barbados Pride’s team’s failure to reach the last four of this year’s tournament.

“We could have done a lot better. We trained hard, but we just didn’t click as a unit and put it together and that is one of the reasons why we didn’t perform up to the required well.

“We needed some good starts which we really didn’t get. We have got some useful players in the side, but they just need to put their heads down and bat properly,” he said. (MK)
