Four ordered deported for immigration officer assault

The three Colombians and the Guyanese who were charged with assaulting an immigration officer were ordered deported by the District C St Matthias Court.

The four are being hustled to the Grantley Adams Airport at this hour to be put on afternoon flights out of the island.

The Colombians Leidy Yurani Lemos, 31, Johanna Martinez Palacious,19, and Carolina Estupinan, 31, as well as Guyanese Handisa Amanda Adams,23,  had pleaded guilty to assaulting Immigration Officer Carlisle Murray while at the airport on November 13.

They were also convicted reprimanded and discharged.

The four were represented by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley and attorney Dayna Taylor-Lavine. (HLE)
