Prime Minister Mia Mottley is expecting a speedy resolution to the dispute at Grantley Adams Memorial School.

On Tuesday she told THE NATION there was a place for both the canteen operator and the vendors at the Blackman’s, St Joseph school and she would be asking Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw to intervene.

“I am going to ask Santia to go up there and resolve it,” Mottley said from her office in Parliament. “There is a place for all – the canteen concessionaire and the long-standing vendors. You cannot have it open to large numbers; but there can be order.”

She added that any other concerns of the school, such as the need for security and cleanliness, should be equally respected. (MB)
