Members of the Barbados Football Association’s Under-17 national team are currently engaged in a watch party of the final match of the Libertadores Cup between Argentine rivals Boca Juniors and River Plate, at Complejo Habitacional de Casa Amarilla, Argentina.

The match which has been rescheduled twice, was originally scheduled to be played at Rivers home ground of El Monumental a fortnight ago.

However, it was postponed following an attack on the Boca bus as the team travelled to the game, resulting in players suffering injuries from cuts and tear gas.

The game was finally rescheduled for today at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain; home of Real Madrid since 1947.

The Bajan lads have thrown their full support behind Boca Juniors, and while they would like to be in Spain at the stadium, are excited to be given the opportunity to watch the game in Argentina. (RA)
