Home destroyed in morning blaze

A woman escaped with minor injuries after a two-bedroom wood and wall home was destroyed this morning, after a fire in Clevedale Development, Black Rock, St Michael.

The uninsured structure was owned by 65-year-old Alvin Cadogan, who was not at home at the time.

The Barbados Fire Service received the call around 10:25 a.m. and two tenders, with nine officers responded from the Probyn Street station.

It took 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

No other buildings were damaged. (NATIONNEWS)
