Miracles do happen in first-class cricket during the Christmas season which is a time for giving and sharing.

The Jamaica Scorpions’ batsmen generously gifted their wickets to gleeful bowlers as Barbados Pride miraculously secured an amazing 41-run victory on the third day of their second round match in the Regional 4-Day Cricket Championship yesterday at the 3Ws Oval.

Barbados Pride defended a meagre victory target of 107 runs to rout the Jamaicans for a paltry 65 runs in only 18 overs in their second innings for an astounding come-from-behind triumph with a day to spare.

Pacer Miguel Cummins and left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican took four wickets each for 19 and 27 runs, respectively, to take the sting out of the Scorpions, who had dominated the first two days. (EZS)
