Vendors and beach bar owners are hoping business can thrive again after what they described as the hellish six-month closure of Worthing Beach, Christ Church.

On Christmas Eve, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and the Environmental Protection Department, gave the all-clear to the public for bathing in Worthing Beach.

On Friday when a NATION team visited the beach, the area was busy, when compared to past months.

While some operators said the closure hurt their business, they said the reopening gave them hope that they would recover. (SB)
