Police shot at in Chapman Lane

Lawmen report that on Thursday January 17 about 9:30 p.m. they came under fire while conducting a patrol.

According to acting Police Public Relations Officer Sergeant Michael Blackman, police from the anti-gun and anti-gangs Unit were on routine mobile patrol duty in the areas of Chapman Lane, New Orleans and Murphy’s Pasture.”

Blackman said, “ Whilst they were travelling through the area of Murphy’s Pasture, police came under fire from persons liming… who ran away, police returned fire… “

The police spokesman said no one was injured but a house was damaged. (PR)
