The Barbados Christian Council is calling on all Barbadians to observe today January 18, as a Day of Prayer.

This day beings the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is observed by Christians all over the world.

The theme for the week of prayer in 2019, “Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue …” is inspired by Deuteronomy 16:18-20.

The Barbados Christian Council is calling on all to pray for our nation, for justice, peace and unity. We are especially asking that you join in prayer for all young people across our nation.

The clergy and ministers of all churches and places of worship have been asked to have these buildings open from 6:00am – 6:00pm, and encourage persons to avail themselves of the opportunity for quiet prayer and reflection. (PR)
