Power outage at Applewhaites pumping station

The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform the public that it is in the process of carrying out emergency repairs at its Applewhaites Pumping Station. This is resulting from a power outage in the area and has affected customers in St. Joseph, St. Thomas and St. James.

 Consequently, residents in the following areas may experience water outages or low pressure:

St JosephHorse Hill, Suriname, Fruitful Hill, Chimborazo, Sugar Hill, Bowling Alley, Vaughn’s Road 1 & 2.

 

St Thomas – Hopewell, Bridgefield, Edgehill, Shop Hill, Christie Village, Dukes, Redman’s Village, Kew Land, Welches, Padmore Village and Melrose.

 

St James – Clermont, Hoyte’s Village, Prior Park and surrounding areas.

 

Water tankers have been dispatched to service the affected areas. (PR)
