Windies women make history ahead of ICC championship series

The Women’s team also demonstrated great Caribbean spirit as they won the first series win by a non-Asian team in Pakistan for 15 years. Congratulating the Windies Women on their 2-1 T20I series win over Pakistan Women in Karachi over the weekend, the President said the region is incredibly proud of its men’s and women’s teams.

“Our young professionals have demonstrated exceptional discipline and performed with excellence during their respective series, bringing both pride and joy to the people of the region and our Diaspora,” said Cameron.

He encouraged West Indians the world over to continue believing “in our players as we rally ‘round the West Indies across each version of the game”. (PR)
