White Hill split over relocating

In an ad this week Government has advertised for the construction of five houses in Farmer’s, St Thomas, for the people of White Hill, St Andrew, but it appears most of them do not want to go.

The tender notice advised those interested to bid for either one or both packages – package A involving the construction of three houses, and package B, involving two.

However, at White Hill many residents were adamant that they were not leaving.

“For me, I honestly don’t want to move. It is very peaceful here – no violence. I got a li’l man just five months old. I grew up here and I want him to do it too,” said Antonio Springer. (CA)
