Businessman to appear in court on drug charges

In one of the biggest drug busts, a man will appear in court this morning in connection with a container load of cocaine and cannabis.

Businessman Reginald Parris, 57, of Inchcape Terrace, St Philip is charged with smuggling the drugs in a container between February 5 and 6 in the District “A” jurisdiction. He is also charged with possession of the drugs, supplying and trafficking in them all on February 14 in the District “C” jurisdiction. In all he’s on eight charges

He is expected to go before the Chief Magistrate.

Parris was questioned by the police drug squad over the last two days prior to the charges being laid.
