ONE SISTER ADMITTED wounding another woman, but the other denied the charge, and they both walked out on bail yesterday.

Isha Kemoy Lewis, 19, and Khadedra Shanea Lewis, 24, both of 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, were charged with assaulting Miracle Rouse, occasioning her actual bodily harm, on February 16.

Isha pleaded guilty, but Khadedra denied the allegation.

Prosecutor Constable Kenmore Phillips told the District “A” Magistrates’ Court Isha and Rouse were from the same area, but were not on speaking terms. Rouse was outside her house talking with others when Isha walked past her.

They had a conversation that caused Rouse to walk away and go to another location. On her way back home, Isha slapped her on the left side of the neck. People in the area had to part them.

The prosecutor did not object to bail and Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant put each woman $2 000 bail and ordered them to stay away from the Rouse.

Khadedra returns on September 12, but Isha is due back on Monday when Rouse is also expected to appear.
