Taxi operator on gun charge

A TAXI OPERATOR has been remanded to HMP Dodds on a gun charge.

Gamal Nicholi Haynes, 34, of 7th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday accused of having the firearm without a valid licence, on February 18.

Haynes, who was represented by Chanika Carrington, holding for Angella Mitchell-Gittens, was not required to plead to the indictable charge before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

He returns to court on March 25.
