Police have confirmed the death of a Caucasian man earlier today at Portvale Sugar Factory.

Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss confirmed that the man, a subcontractor, was working on the roof of the building when he fell to his death.

Inniss said they are treating it as a freak accident.

At present the body is still on the scene as police carry out their investigations.
