Minister of Creative Economy, Culture and Sport John King wants to change a perception that his ministry was just about Crop Over and NIFCA.

It was against this backdrop that an event at Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael, was held to reflect what goes on behind the scene in the ministry.

There were also a number of entertainment acts that included the junior and senior choirs of Lester Vaughan, saxophonist Shakhouri Thompson and steel pannist Hashim Durant.

King said the showcase gave the public an opportunity to be exposed to the operations that fell under the Library, the Archives, the Sports Council and the National Cultural Foundation. (JS)
