Patrick Husbands is back in the saddle and back to his winning ways.

Husbands won Race 4 on today’s card at Woodbine Race Track in Canada.

He piloted 4-year-old colt Blueblood to the winner’s circle ahead of Alacritous, ridden by Luis Contreras and Silent Jimmie with David Moran on board.

Husbands’ brother Simon did not place on Speeding Bullet.

The win comes roughly six months after he was thrown from a horse while riding at the same venue. He suffered a broken pelvis in the fall from Islay Inlet, cutting his season short.

He underwent two surgeries. (SAT)
