The outage occurred just before 9 a.m. and is being worked on immediately, an official of the Barbados Light and Power has confirmed with the NATION.
“The fault has been identified, and crews are working on it as we speak,” the official said, though being unable to determine how long before full electrical power would be restored.

“We have been informed that certain areas in the north are already back on the grid, and power has also been restored to Bagatelle in St Thomas,” the BL&P official confirmed moments ago. “The remainder of the areas affected are being dealt with,” the official added. According to the source, the outage occurred after a fault near the Spring Garden, Black Rock area. (BA)
