The second round of matches in the inaugural Under-21 Netball Tournament generated several close finishes and lots of excitement at the Netball Stadium on Sunday.

With the impasse between the Barbados Netball Association and the umpires apparently resolved, the officials cut an impressive figure in their green and white outfits while the players provided some thrilling moments for the vociferously supportive crowd in the stands.

Many of those spectators and netball officials received gifts compliments of the BNA honouring Mother’s Day.

Ironically, Island Ice Queens added the most heat as they remained out front in Zone 2 by grounding Tropical Luxury Tours Lightning 42-35 to move to 15 points. (KB)
