Students of the St Gabriel’s School donated over 500 books to Variety the Children’s Charity on Friday.

Teacher Emily Kellman said that they held a week-long book drive which started on World Book Day on April 23.

She described the response as amazing, adding that some students donated several books in various genres.

During assembly at the Henry’s Lane, St Michael, primary school this morning, Variety crew member Jacqui McDermott accepted on behalf of the charity and thanked the school for its ongoing support. (TG)
