Dust has been raining down on residents living next door to the construction site at the senior citizens retirement project, The Estates of Barbados, in Boarded Hall, St George.
And on Tuesday Sagicor Financial Corporation, the developers of the multimillion-dollar project, came in for a tongue-lashing from affected residents, who said while they welcomed the development, they were caught off-guard when massive excavation work got under way a few weeks ago.
Following an intervention by parliamentary representative for St George South, Dwight Sutherland, Sagicor will immediately halt bulldozing at the western side of the project, and install hoarding and a dust prevention screen.
Sutherland toured the Gills Gap, Watts Village district yesterday morning hearing complaints from householders. (MB)
