No room for QC in Intermediate

Queen’s College have been yorked by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).

After admitting them into the BCA’s Intermediate competition, and including them in the initial fixtures among the 36 teams, divided evenly among four zones, the BCA has shockingly reversed its decision.

The Amaze-sponsored Queen’s College were scheduled to play in Zone A, but with nine teams originally in each of the four zones, the school had a bye for the opening series, which ended last Saturday.

The second series (May 25, June 1 and 8) starts tomorrow, but QC’s original opponents, Bayville, will now have a bye, along with Coleridge & Parry (CP) in Zone A, where there will be just three matches.

With Ellerslie, Lodge and the Barbados Community College also having byes in Zone B, C and D, respectively, a whopping 55 cricketers from five teams won’t be playing any Intermediate cricket for the next three Saturdays. (EZS)
