President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived in Barbados
The Ghanaian leader and his entourage touched down at the Grantley Adams International Airport via a private jet just after 10:30 a.m.
As he descended the aircraft, he was welcomed by the sounds from the Barbados Defence Force Band.
On the tarmac, Akufo-Addo was greeted by Prime Minister Mia Mottley who was waiting on the red carpet.
As the 21-gun salute began, Chief of Staff Of the Barbados Defence Force, Colonel Glyne Grannum; Minister Of Foreign Affairs, Senator Jerome Walcott, Minister of Innovation Kay McConney and scores of airport staff looked on.
Akufo-Addo was introduced to the Barbadian officials and did the same for Mottley.
The delegation is headed to Ilaro Court to begin bilateral discussions with Mottley.
He is expected to give a historic address at Parliament later today.
Barbados is the last stop for the Ghanaian leader on his tour of the Caribbean. He leaves tomorrow. (TG)
