BDFSP tipped to take the Cup

It will be a repeat of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Championship play-off final.

Reigning Premier League champions Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) will put on their armour and go to battle against star-studded Weymouth Wales for a record sixth time this season in the Champions Cup final.

Having won the league title three weeks ago, the “soldiers” are favourites to complete the domestic double tonight starting at 8 o’clock when the two clash at the Wildey Turf.

As the old saying goes “football plays on the day” but on paper and based on statistics it is hard for one to bet against Asquith Howell’s green and yellow army.  They will be boosted by the return of national captain Rashad Jules and central defender Shane Codrington. (AGB)
