Barbados’ Gracie Foster has won a bronze medal in the artistic swimming competition at the Central American and Caribbean Championships at the Aquatic Centre.

It’s the second medal for the host country following on from triple CARIFTA gold medallist Erika Loustric’s silver in the junior solo free contest on Tuesday’s opening day of the championships.

After the first day of competition, which started with the routine segment, Foster was in third and maintained that position overall after Wednesday’s fourth-place figures score was added.

Foster, 14, who is based in Canada, told Weekend Sport that as long as a person was steadfast in their pursuit they could achieve anything. (RG)
