PdP’s Cave call

THE OPPOSITION PEOPLE’S PARTY wants Government to release all details of its decision to lease management of Harrison’s Cave to a Jamaican firm.

Minister of Tourism Kerrie Symmonds, in a recent media interview, said Government went through a proper tendering process and determined the Jamaican firm was the best candidate.

 But the People’s Party for Democracy and Development (PdP) is far from satisfied with this arrangement.

Scott Weatherhead, the PdP’s spokesperson on tourism and international transport matters, in a videotaped media release yesterday, said Government had come up short informing Barbadians about the controversial lease, and should make it a document of the House of Assembly. (BA)
