Rising fast bowling sensation Jofra Archer is raking in big bucks for club, country and the regional board with his Indian Premier League (IPL) release fees from Rajasthan Royals earning Wildey, Barbados and Cricket West Indies (CWI) over BDS$120 000.

For the 2018 IPL season, release fees for Archer, Carlos Brathwaite and Javon Searles were US$133 873, US$47 249 and US$6 955, respectively, totalling US$188 077.

This amount will be divided equally among CWI, the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) and the players’ clubs, with each receiving US$62 692.

Archer and Brathwaite represented Wildey and Searles, Gladiola. The fees for the clubs will be based on the players’ earnings, so Wildey’s take will be much higher than Gladiola’s. (MK)
