Boyce’s goal to coach Tridents

Former Barbados football captain Emmerson Boyce wants to make a stunning return to the national dressing room.

After hanging up his boots three years ago, the former Wigan Athletic captain and English FA Cup 2013 winner is looking to lead from the front again, having declared his interest in the job of head coach.

The 39-year-old former right back, who made over 500 appearances during his 18-year career, scoring a total of 22 goals for English clubs Luton Town, Wigan, Blackpool and Crystal Palace, was recently in Barbados on vacation.

While not setting a timeline on his aspiration, during an exclusive interview with Sunsport, Boyce said he was in the process of obtaining his coaching badges. (AGB)
