Power outage in four parishes

Customers in four parishes may be without electricity as the Barbados Light & Power Company tries to resolve “an issue with some of its generation units at the Spring Garden plant”.

In a media release today, Manager Communications & Government Relations, Jackie Marshall-Clarke, said customers in St Lucy, St Peter, St Philip and St Michael were without supply.

Some of the affected communities include: North Point, Pie Corner, Chance Hall, Spring Hall, Northumberland, Crab Hill, Rose Hill, St Lucy Church, Mile-and-A Quarter, Upper Carlton, Westmoreland, Six Roads, Padmore Village, Church Village, Oughterson, Three Houses, Fortescue, Bayfield, East Point, Merricks, Sealy Hall, Stuart Hill, Moncrieffe, Rose Hill, Fordes Road, Bonnetts and Brittons Cross Road.

A team is working to resolve the matter and to restore power to customers safely and as soon as possible, the release added. (PR/SAT)
