Asthma sufferers urged to evacuate districts affected by smoke

The public is advised that the emergency services are currently dealing with a fire at B’s Recycling in St Thomas. Communities in the area are expected to be affected by heavy smoke.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is advising those people with asthma or other respiratory illnesses to leave the surrounding area until conditions improve. People who are feeling unwell are advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible. 

The emergency services are taking all necessary steps to bring the situation under control. (BGIS)
