Executives from the local international business sector mixed and mingled against a backdrop of impressive art mounted at The Grove Art Gallery upstairs Limegrove Lifestyle Centre last week.
It was not an evening for long speeches as the Barbados International Business Association’s (BIBA) executive director Henderson Holmes pointed out. However, in her brief period at the podium, BIBA president Julia Hope took the time to make an appeal to members for support for hurricane-ravaged The Bahamas.
Sponsor of the evening, CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank, also made a brief presentation.
Among the movers and shakers mingling with Barbados’ new generation of sharp young business executives was real estate developer and the man behind Limegrove’s establishment, Sir Paul Altman. Also spotted was former Democratic Labour Party Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, Darcy Boyce. He was there with daughter Leiska Evanson. (GC)
