Jabali Breedy took a major blow after a mark in his passport denied him access to gaining a Russian visa, ahead of the World Boxing Championships earlier this month.

But though that unfortunate circumstance saw the Barbadian boxer missing out on much needed practice before next year’s Olympic Games qualifiers, he is still holding on to the hope of making his dream of competing at next year’s Tokyo Olympics a reality.

“It’s just the Olympics that are on my mind now. I really want to reach the Games and represent Barbados. That has always been my dream and I know I have to put in a lot of work to get there but I am prepared to do what it takes,” he told MIDWEEKSPORT. (RG)
