New Deputy Governor at Central Bank

There is a new deputy governor at the Central Bank of Barbados.

He is economist Alwyn Jordan, who will assume the post on October 1.

Governor Cleviston Haynes said that Jordan is an experienced banker, and pointed out his previous work at the Central Bank of Barbados and the Central Bank of the Bahamas.

“He will be a valuable addition to our team here at the Bank as we continue to work with government to restore macroeconomic stability. We look forward to welcoming him back to the Bank,” Haynes said.

Jordan will oversee the bank’s research and economic analysis, bank supervision, and management of information systems departments. (PR)
