Police looking into Cave Hill accident

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic collision which occurred about 9:30 last night, where a car struck a house.

It incident occurred along Cave Hill Main Road, St Michael and involved a car owned and driven by 29-year-old Troy Rico Parris of 2nd Avenue Austin Drive, Eden Lodge, St Michael. 

Parris was travelling along the road when the vehicle struck the pavement, became airborne and collided with a house.

The car was extensively damaged as it overturned and trapped the driver inside.

Ten fire department personnel in two fire tenders responded from the Probyn Street Station. They freed the driver who was then taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Parris is in serious but stable condition.
