‘Aim for higher level’

President of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), Randy Harris, is challenging member associations (MA) to take football to the next level throughout the region.

He threw out the challenge during the Caribbean Football Executive Programme’s graduation ceremony at the University Inn and Conference Centre of the University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, over the weekend.

“When we think of sports, we think of big names and those who grab the headlines, whether countries or players, but do we really stop to reflect on the foundation of which the successes are lodged? It is based on the administrators and officials whose tireless work and abilities allow them to flourish.

“I offer heartiest congratulations to you. I am proud of you all and I am certain your MAs are also proud of you. The future is bright for sports administration and sports administrators in the Caribbean,” Harris said. (RA)
