BARBADIAN draughts grandmaster Ronald “Suki” King is down and almost out.
King has a huge mountain to climb as defending champion Sergio Scarpetta has taken a 6-1 lead in their World Three Move Restriction title match at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.
Scarpetta captured the final two games on Saturday night for a 5-1 advantage and won the final game last night to move into an impressive lead. The series is now at the half-way stage with 16 of the 32 games completed.(MK)
