Two of Barbados’ best junior swimmers Nkosi Dunwoody and Danielle Titus dominated The St Michael School’s (SMS) inter-house swim meet yesterday at the Aquatic Centre, but could not break the Elizabeth House stranglehold.

In a repeat of last year’s results, Elizabeth took the top podium spot with a whopping 490 points, leaving Titus’ house Victoria on 407, Dunwoody’s Boadicea on 280, and Anne in their familiar cellar spot with 260.

Dunwoody, who previously crushed his swimming opponents at Harrison College, switched to SMS this year to capture the victor ludorum title. He smashed all comers and took gold in the 100 free, the 100 IM, the 50 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. Dunwoody also tasted gold as part of the 4×25 freestyle and 4×25 medley relay quartets.

Repeat victrix ludorum Titus could not be touched in six of the individual events, but had to settle for silver in the medley relay and bronze in the relay free. (KB)
