Police seize firearms

The Royal Barbados Police Force is investigating the discovery and seizure of two firearms.

The firearms were discovered around 12:10 yesterday morning at Greenfield, St Michael, while members of the Tactical Response Unit (TRU) were patrolling the area.

They encountered what appeared to be an illegal party, with around 150 people in attendance. They ran off on the arrival of members of the TRU.

A search was made of the area and one .40mm Glock 22 with an extended magazine carrying 21 rounds, one .40mm Glock 23 with a magazine of 14 rounds and one 100 grams of vegetable matter suspected to be cannabis were found.

No arrests were made. (PR)
