Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley last night revealed that Barbados had started negotiations with a United States-based entity that will finally see a large hotel built on the site of the old Paradise Hotel.
The Batts Rock location has become an eyesore after several failed attempts by the previous administration to get an internationally rated facility constructed there as a Four Seasons Hotel.
Delivering the feature address at the Barbados Labour Party’s 81st annual general conference at Queen’s Park, Mottley went into detail about several tourism projects which would be starting shortly, and are expected to kick-start the country’s economic engines. (BA)
