The man who was shot and killed late last night has been identified as Denzil Obed Scarboro, alias Blue, of Farm Road, St Philip.
The 29-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at Eastbourne in the same parish, an area locally known as Vietnam.
Scarboro was at a home in the district when, according to police, an unknown masked man with a firearm followed him as he entered through the side door. An altercation ensued and shots were fired. The victim fell to the floor and the assailant fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. and is the 43rd murder of the year.
