Miss World Barbados Che Amor Greenidge needs your help.

The 26-year-old is in London competing against more than 100 beauty queens for the coveted title, and to increase her chances of returning home with the crown, Barbadians have been asked to vote via Missworld.com or by downloading the MobStar app.

“I just want people to know how hard I’m working and I feel like Barbados can really do it this year; we have a great opportunity. But for me to move on to the next segment, I really need people to vote,” Greenidge said.

Since last month Greenidge, who is the founder of the Deaf Heart Project, has been competing in the preliminary stages of the pageant which included multimedia, sports, and talent challenges.

“Barbados made it to the Finals for talent and I also got selected for something very special [and] I cannot disclose it at this point, but we shouldn’t waste this chance. These other countries have numbers, but we can do it too, and if we don’t have the votes we can’t move forward. So I’m really depending on everybody back home,” she added.

She acknowledged that the daily schedule had been hectic, but rewarding.

“Throughout this whole journey I have learned so far is that things don’t easier, it’s just that I get strong along the way. I do have my highs and my lows but you just have to keep pushing and I think the process is equipping me and preparing me to be ready for the finish line,” she said.

The 69th edition of the Miss World pageant will be held on December 14 at the ExCeL London convention centre.
